The Liberators opened thier first official conference play tonight with a 7-0 win over 1st year team Rogersville. The game was a hard fought battle between both teams. Bolivar first got on the board in the 12th minute when Senior Jake Condren fired a low and hard shot past the keeper. He was assisted by sophomore Branden Roberts. Roberts scored an unassisted goal eight minutes later to give the Liberators a 2-0 lead that they would take into the half. Rogerserville did press hard and their best opportunity came midway thru the half when outside mid #5 crossed the ball and #13 broke free and had a one-on-one with keeper Dale Baker. Baker slid and grabbed the ball to save goal. Bolivar got off to a slow start in the second half and Rogersville came out fired up and put a lot of pressure on the defense. In the 52 minute, junior Bradley Stillwagon scored with an assist from sophomore Matt Magana. The Liberators took the momentum and controled most of the game from that point on. Other scoring:

Junior Sam Wall, Sophomore Branden Roberts, and freshman Mitchell Waters recorded their first varsity goals.
Branden Roberts recorded his first varsity assist.
The defense and Dale Baker recorded their second shutout of the year. Baker now has 25 for his career.
Sophomore Matt Magana recorded two assist which moves him into second place in Liberator history. He now has 26 career assists and needs 10 more to tie for first.
Senior Carlo Frasseto was taken down by three defenders in the box to earn the pk for Bolivar.

In JV action, the Liberators beat Rogersville 2-0 to earn their first victory of the season. Sam Wall and Branden Roberts recorded the goals. Jordan Stanton and Conner Stillwagon earned the shutout in goal.
