After two completely different halves, and then back and forth overtimes, the Greenwood Bluejays pulled out the win during penalty kicks. Greenwood would dominate the first half of play even though the Liberators got on the board first when Bradley Stillwagon finished an assist from Matt Magana. Greenwood would tie the game with six minutes to go in the first half. Bolivar came out hard and dominated the second half of play, but just could not get that additional goal needed to go in. The Liberator defense held Greenwood to one shot in the second half. The overtimese were back and forth with both teams starting to show fatigue. Again the Liberators had a few really good opportunities that just would not fall this night. In PK’s Bolivar would miss thier first and third shot, while Greenwood’s Cory McCoy made the game winner with the 4th kick. The Liberators fall to 6-1 and will try to rest and recoup for Catholic tomorrow evening.
