Catholic scored their first goal in the 9th minute when David Bailey hustled to ball to keep it from going over the end line, crossed it over everyones head, and hit the back post to bounce in the goal. From that moment on, the tired (from monday’s 2OT, pK loss) Liberators were deflated and would give up another four goals in the next 20 minutes. Bolivar would finally settle in and play a better second half, but the task was to big on this night. Catholic moves into sole possession of first place in the COC small division while the Liberators move into 2nd place. Bolivar’s record drops to 6-2.
The Liberators look to re-group as they take on New Covenant in the first round of the Bolivar Classic tournament.
