Show Me Games Schedule Set

The men and ladies will head to Columbia on the weekend of July 25-27 to compete in the Show Me State Games. The girls are returning to Columbia after a three year absence from the tournament. Both teams will compete in the u17/u18 division. The guys will have three alumni, Tanner Roberts, Adam Spaulding, and Austin McCrickard, coming back to compete as Liberators for the very last time.

Girls Schedule:
Lady Liberators v. Strikers WO (Overland) July 26, 8:00am
Lady Liberators v. SECL (St. Louis) July 26, 2:00pm
Lady Liberators v. Tsunami (Lebanon) July 26, 9:30 am

*Bolivar vs. Lebanon should be a good match against old rivals that have not played each other in a couple of years.

Boys Schedule:

Liberators v. Camdenton A July 26, 11:00am
Liberators v. Marshall 1 July 26, 5:00pm
Liberators v. Sho-Stoppers (Columbia) July 27, 8:00am
Liberators v. Wilton (Hartsburg) July 27, 12:30 pm

Interesting side note: Coach Fast will coach against Jason Ingold (Camdenton head coach) for the first time. Jason was Coach Fast’s student teacher and assisted with the boys for a couple of seasons while he was in college at SBU. Jason’s wife also assisted at Bolivar with the girls.

Both groups look to play hard and improve on their skills against some tough competition.

All Stars Compete Well

On a perfect June evening, the Liberators were represented on the pitch at the SW MO All-Star game. Lindsy Archer, Ryan Toombs, and Tanner Roberts took their talents to the field and competed well against the best southwest MO has to offer from all classes. Peter Casey was also invited, but due to conflict was unable to attend.

I would like to welcome Ms. T.C. Wall to our soccer family! T.C. comes to us from Lebanon and she will serve as assistant superintendent for Bolivar Schools. T.C. has a son Sam (junior) and a daugter Emma (7th) who will be playing for the Liberator soccer teams. Welcome once again to Bolivar!

Welcome Mr. Owens

We would like to give a big welcome to Mr. Ron Owens as our new assistant principal for BHS. Most of you may know him as “coach Owens” from the Willard Tigers. Mr. Owens is officially a Liberator now and we look forward to his leadership skills in our administration. Be sure to introduce yourself and welcome him to our district!

SW All-Star Game Thursday 26th

Let’s have a big Liberator showing at Thursday nights SW MO Soccer All-Star game! Come watch Tanner Roberts (1st team all-state sweeper) and Ryan Toombs (2nd team all-state midfielder) on the pitch one more time. Also, come watch Lindsy Archer (all-region) as she competes in the ladies game. Girls game @ 6:00, boys game @ 8:00.

Archer invited to SW All-Star Game

Senior Lindsy Archer has been invited to participate in this summer’s Southwest All-Star game. Lindsy becomes the second girl for the Liberators to make the squad. Lindsy will join fellow classmates Tanner Roberts, Ryan Toombs, and Peter Casey who will play for the boys. The game is scheduled for June 19th, girls at 6:00, boys at 8:00.

Liberators Fall in District Final

It took Catholic 60 minutes to score the winning goal against a stingy Liberator defense tonight in the class 1 district final. Tara Bailes scored the game winner with a penalty kick shot. The call and the goal took the momentum away from the Lady Liberators and Catholic was able to put in two more goals in the half to win 3-0. A tremendous effort from a young Bolivar team has the future looking bright for the Liberators. Bolivar finishes the season with a 14-7 record. Congrats ladies on a great season.

K-6 Boys and Girls July 21-24, 9:00 - 10:30am

7-12 Boys: July 21-24, 5:00 - 6:30pm

7-12 Girls: July 21-24, 6:30 - 8:00pm

Bolivar Deafeats Marshfield In Season Finale

The Lady Liberators, without the services of their seniors (senior trip), defeated Marshfield for the third time this season with a 2-0 victory. Freshman Jonna Welch scored a goal in each half for the Liberators. Bolivar’s record improves to 12-6.
